Message from David

Hello, welcome to my website. These pages offer news and information on my work as recording artist and music teacher. I am thankful to my good friends Mark & Mary Fleeson on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne who do the real work of editing and construction of this site.

Recording news: Nothing to report of late. Since Classic FM (here in the UK) started to show interest in my music and featured one of my pieces ( 'Columba Aspexit' from my album 'Breath Of Heaven') I have been looking at the possibility of recording a new CD with acoustic instruments & strings (either quartet or small ensemble). I am still in discussion with my record company and so hopefully we shall be moving forward with this project in due course. The most recent project has been an exciting new recording (with Dave Bainbridge) entitled Life Journey. This is inspired by the book (of the same name), writings & artwork of Mary Fleeson. Each track on this new CD has its own identity, presence & atmosphere - a sound reflection of each specific theme & work of art that we have sought to express from Mary's beautiful book. BBCTV Songs Of Praise: It has been a real joy and a privilege to have recorded with so many artists & choirs over the years for this programme. SOP has to be a national heritage now. Millions watch these programmes every week, not only here in the UK but around the world. Tuition: For tuition work there are pages of information on my private teaching practice and work within schools. There is also a diary for this current term. I am a full registered member of both the ISM (Incorporated Society Of Musicians) & the Musician's Union. I promote and follow the Syllabus for Woodwind examinations produced by the world's most reliable and respected exam board, the ABRSM (Associated Board Of The Royal Schools Of Music). Each year many of my pupils participate and perform at the prestigious Norfolk County Music Festival (founded in 1925).
